
After classical studies, he graduated in Composition at the Parma Conservatory under the guide of the composer and teacher Antonio Giacometti. He also graduated in Jazz at the Brescia Conservatory under the guide of Corrado Guarino. He has been selected to attend seminars and masterclasses given by Franco Donatoni, György Ligeti, James MacMillan. In January of 2000 he met in Amsterdam the great composer Louis Andriessen and in May of the same year he won the 2nd prize in the International Contest of Composition “2 Agosto” in Bologna with the piece UMORE for sax soprano and orchestra. He has had a lot of commissions from many musicians and institutions in Italy and abroad, and his works have been performed in several national and international Festivals in Italy and abroad. Since 2005 he is a member of the Società Italiana di Musica Contemporanea (SIMC), Italian section of ISCM (International Society for Contemporary Music). He regularly cooperates with the musical magazine “Brescia Musica”. His works are published by Sconfinarte Edition of Milan.
